TrustedTradesmen.com was foundered by Andrew Clague in 2004.

While speaking to Andrew he had this to say

"Launched in August 2004, Trusted Tradesmen set out to bridge the gap
between the consumer and the trades person by providing an online public
forum and a facility for consumers to submit reviews of work carried out
by tradesmen throughout the UK.

We believe that the vast majority of consumers prefer to employ such
trades as Builders, Plumbers, Electricians and all other trades by
recommendation and not by taking a chance with directories simply
containing advertisements.

Two months short of our anniversary, Trusted Tradesmen is ever
increasing in popularity. Our review database is now populated with even
more reviews and contact details for our visitors to use and most
importantly it's still 100% free to use."
